I found the chapter that you should read in the final cut pro manual.
When you open FCP, go to Help -> Final Cut Pro User Manual
That opens up an Acrobat File. Put in "III-421" (the letter "i" 3 times)
That will bring you to chapter 20, you should read the whole thing, I think you will really like the techniques they talk about. The part that specifically tells you how to work with green screen is the Chroma Keyer, iii-430-439.
